High school scoreboard: Feb. 8

Taylor Kennedy tallied 18 points for the Lady Leopards as they defeated East Hall 58-45 in the teams’ final regular season game on Friday in Homer.

Kaitlyn Duncan scored 14 points for Banks County (17-8, 8-6 Region 7-AAA), and McKenna Rylee and Savannah Blalock each added eight.

The Lady Leopards will begin play in the Region 7-AAA Tournament next week.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 74, SALEM 68: Deshaun Watson put up 29 points for the Red Elephants on Friday in Gainesville.

Shaquan Cantrell scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Gainesville, and Luke Moore added 12 points.

Gainesville faces Cedar Shoals at 5:30 tonight in Gainesville.

LAKEVIEW GIRLS 69, TALLULAH FALLS 33: Taylor Handte and Danielle Morgan each scored 14 points for Lakeview on Friday in Tallulah Falls.

Schyler Miller tallied 11 for the Lady Lions (13-12, 8-7 Region 8A-A), and Katie Gay added nine.

Lakeview travels to Towns County High for the Region 8-A Tournament on Wednesday in Hiawassee.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 78, FANNIN COUNTY 44: Jordan Egerton scored 14, Spencer Adams had 11, and Rand Rowland added 10 to lead the Warriors to a win Friday in Cleveland.

Will Brock recorded six assists, and Dalton Whitfield pulled down 14 rebounds for White County (10-15, 4-10 Region 7-AAA).

White County plays Dawson County in the first round of the region tournament on Tuesday in Buford.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN GIRLS 56, COLONIAL HILLS 46: Jordan Ball scored a season-high 16 points for the Lady Chargers (14-3) on Friday in Flowery Branch.

Julianne Sutton added 13 points and Liz Wethington scored seven.

The Lady Chargers return to action in the ICSGA playoffs next week.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN BOYS 54, COLONIAL HILLS 38: Norris Rettiger led the Chargers with 16 points on Friday in Flowery Branch.

Tristan Diepenbrock added 15 points and Sam Youngblood chipped in 10.

The Chargers begin play in the ICSGA playoffs next week.
