Local golf: Cohan, Lyle win at Chattahoochee

The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played its monthly individual flighted strokes competition on Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

Larry Cohan won the first flight, Roy Bartlett came in second, and Don Gage, Karl Goellner, Clay Bartlett and Don Sorrell all tied for third place.

In the second flight, Roy Lyle finished in first place, Denny Momper was second, and Bill Holleman and Johnny Little tied for third.

Closest to the pin winners were Cohan (No. 3), Jere Cochran (No. 5), Holleman (No. 12) and Eddie Johnson (No. 17).

DOGFIGHT: Jim Arendt, Roger Stapp and Henry Komoto finished at 13-under par to win the Wednesday dogfight last week at Chicopee Woods golf course.

The team of Tommy Calhoun, Terry Clegg and Don Schrum finished in second place.

Individually, Komoto came in first, Josh Armour was second, and Gayle Gibson and Stapp tied for third place.
