Ms. Lauryn Elizabeth Strickland and Mr. Samuel Walker White were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Dec. 1, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Sloan Strickland of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt William White Jr.of Monroe.The Rev. Scott Smith performed the ceremony. Bella Musica presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Ms. Kathryn Bradley of Oxford, Miss., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Ms. Lindsay Addison of Gainesville, Ms. Jennifer LeFevre of Gainesville, Ms. Anne Bleakley Hughs of Gainesville, Mrs. Anna Helmuth of Cumming and Mrs. Lauren Muzzin of Norcross.

The groom’s father Mr. Emmitt White Jr. of Monroe was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers Mr. Will White of Columbia, S.C., and Mr. Allen White of Gainesville, bride’s brother Mr. Sloan Strickland of Gainesville, groom’s friends Mr. Chris Carey of Athens, Mr. Daniel Shackleford of Monroe, Mr. Grant Raber of Dalton and Mr. Scott LeFevre of Gainesville.

Soirees Southern Events was the wedding coordinator. Ms. Lindsey Strickland, Ms. Heather Strickland and Ms. Megan Carr were greeters.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Luna’s in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Walters Barn in Lula following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Gainesville.
