Fire damages home in northeast Hall

Firefighters battled a house fire this afternoon in Northeast Hall County.

A call came in from a neighbor just before 3 p.m. for a house in the 7300 block of Echols Road, not far from Ga. 365.

The 1,000-square-foot home was 50 percent involved when they arrived. Banks and Habersham authorities were called to assist with tankers.

A fire investigator is on scene to determine the cause. Few other details were immediately available.
