Two adult siblings were injured Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle wreck in north Forsyth.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred about 12:23 p.m. on Mount Tabor Road near Harris Drive.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Shelton said the brother and sister were traveling west in a 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass when it left and then re-entered the road, sliding more than 310 feet across both lanes.

The vehicle struck a large pine tree, spun around and hit a few more trees before stopping.

The driver, 33-year-old Edward Donald Anderson of Bannister Road, was thrown from the vehicle, according to Shelton.

His sister and passenger, 29-year-old Penny Susan Anderson, landed in the vehicle’s rear seat.

The Andersons, who both live on Bannister Road, were taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, where they were listed in stable condition.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision, Shelton said, but neither Anderson was wearing a seat belt.

Shelton added that Edward Anderson was cited for driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane and not having insurance. Other charges include driving on a suspended license and registration.
