Dr. and Mrs. Dan Wood of College Station, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Dana Allison Wood to Mr. Henry St. George Teaford III, son of Dr. Henry Teaford Jr. of Americus and Ms. Tammy Lashley of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joy Wood of College Station, Texas.

She holds a doctorate degree in developmental psychology from the University of North Carolina. She is employed as an educational researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles in Los Angeles, Calif.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lashley of Americus, and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Teaford.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He will pursue a doctorate degree at Mercer University School of Medicine starting in August. He is employed as an operating room assistant by Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed March 2, 2013, at Messina Hof Winery in Bryan, Texas.
