Georgia’s Jasmine Hassell was named SEC Player of the Week after her performances in the Lady Bulldogs’ victories over No. 18 South Carolina and Alabama, the league announced Monday.
Hassell scored 21 points against Alabama in Tuscaloosa last Thursday, the highest offensive output in SEC play of her collegiate career. She then scored 19 versus South Carolina, accounting for 45 percent of the Lady Bulldogs’ total points in a 42-40 victory.
The No. 13 Lady Bulldogs (15-2, 3-1 SEC) travel to Arkansas to face the Razorbacks on Thursday in Fayetteville, Ark.
