Scott and Mitzi Porter of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Michelle Porter to Joseph Kyle Foster, son of Randall and Tammy Foster of Lavonia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mildred Harmon of Gainesville, and Levern Porter of Gainesville.

She is a 2005 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. She received a master’s degree at Piedmont College in Demorest.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mike and Paulette Andrews of Roswell, and Barbara Andrews of Toccoa.

He is a 2005 graduate of Franklin County High School in Carnesville. He graduated in 2010 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in housing.

The couple plan to wed March 30, 2013, at Lavonia First Baptist Church in Lavonia.
