Merry and son of Business House join Georgia brokers’ Million Dollar Club
Two Gainesville business brokers were among nine who joined the Georgia Association of Business Brokers’ Million Dollar Club in 2012.

Jeff Merry, owner and founder of the Business House Inc. of Gainesville was GABB’s top producer in 2012 for the third straight year and seventh time in the last 10 years. He has been a part of the Million Dollar Club since its inception in 1999.

Jon Merry, his son and a Business House associate, also was a top seller.

For almost two decades, Jeff Merry’s firm has specialized in serving the manufacturing, distribution, veterinary and medical industries. He has been involved in more than 300 mergers and acquisitions ranging in price from $60,000 to more than $15 million.

He has served as an adjunct instructor for the MBA program at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega and holds a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University, an MBA from the University of Illinois-Edwardsville and a doctorate from Atlanta Law School.

The Dahlonega resident and his wife, Rebecca Speir Merry, have three children and four grandchildren.

Jon Merry is a certified machinery/equipment appraiser with the National Equipment & Business Builders Institute and a former professional baseball umpire for 11 years. He and his wife, RaeLynda, have two sons.
