Fire destroyed an unoccupied home on Cleveland Highway early today.
Hall County firefighters responded to the blaze in the 3200 block of Lakeview Lane when reported by a neighbor, Fire Chief David Kimbrell reported in an email. They found the 1,500-square-foot home fully involved with fire.
The house was empty and not occupied at the time. Someone had been doing dome work in the structure, Kimbrell said.
There were no injuries, but the building is a total loss. An investigator is on the scene to identify the cause of the fire and find the property owner.
