Car fire briefly closes lane of I-985

One lane of Interstate 985 was shut down Monday night while firefighters extinguished a car fire, authorities said.

Hall County Fire Services found the vehicle fully involved about 7:15 p.m., said David Kimbrell, fire chief and emergency services director.

The fire appeared to be a typical car fire that started from a mechanical issue, he said.

No injuries were reported.
