Chestatee grad Jovaag named SSA Player of the Week

Oglethorpe senior guard and Chestatee High graduate Branden Jovaag was named the Southern Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Jovaag averaged 17.7 points per game and shot 54.1 percent as Oglethorpe went 2-1 last week.

He is currently second in the conference in scoring with 17.4 points per game and third in three-point shooting at 49.4 percent.

Oglethopre travels to the Daytona Beach Shootout next weekend in Daytona Beach, Fla.
