Blake Nix, Joe Roberts, Richard Strickland and Doug McMahan finished in first place at the Luna’s Tuesday event at Chattahoochee Golf Club.

Second place went to the team of Tom Sexton, Gene Weschler, Ken Chahoy, while Cleve Brown. Johnny Nix, Bud Black, Larry Cleek and Doug Van came in third. Closest to the pin winners were Nix (No. 5), Weschler (No. 12), and Sexton (No. 3 an No. 17).

CMGA: The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a three-best-ball, aggregated-net-strokes game on Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

Gene Weschler, Jim Carroll, Bud Clegg and Joe Cronmiller won the event, while Dick Bachman, Clay Bartlett, Don Sorrell and Bob Layne came in second. Carlyle Cox, Bob Pyne, Bill Holleman and Roy Lyle were third.

Closest to the pin winners were Sorrell (No. 3), Bachman (No. 5), Holleman (No. 12) and Layne (No. 17).

DPG: The Dedicated Players Group played matches this past week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at Chicopee Woods Golf Course. On Monday, James Roberts finished in first place, Dave Jetter and Bob Arendt tied for second, and Jerry Shell came in third.

Jetter won the match on Wednesday, Shell, Bob Kidd and Charley Kilby all tied for second, and Al Crego and Horace Smallwood tied for third place.

Jetter tied with Dewey Alverson for first place at Friday’s event, Dwight Miller came in second, and Kilby was third.
