The North Georgia College & State University women’s basketball team fell to Florida Southern College 57-49 in the Eckerd Thanksgiving Classic on Friday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Gainesville grad Jaymee Carnes led all scorers with 18 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals, and Stephanie Huffman added 10 points and seven boards.

North Georgia will next play the tournament host, Eckerd College, at 3 p.m. today in St. Petersburg, Fla.
