Gainesville resident Tim “T” Moon set a world bench press record at the World Association of Benchers and Deadlifters world championships on Friday in Las Vegas.

Moon set the mark in the men’s masters (45-49), 275-pound division with an equipped lift of 664.5 pounds.

Moon is a member of the Georgia IronDawgs, a local powerlifting team based in Gainesville.
