POSTED: November 15, 2012 11:59 p.m.

An altercation Wednesday at Gainesville High school led to arrest warrants for the mother of a student and two siblings who were not students, the school system reported Thursday.

The warrants were issued by the Gainesville Police Department following an incident on the school campus, according to a news release from Superintendent Merrianne Dyer. An investigation by school administration and the School Resource Officer resulted in charges being filed.

The incident followed an earlier altercation between the students. The mother and siblings arrived on campus shortly before student dismissal and confronted the other student.
