Your Views: If Obama leads nation to pray, then re-election will be worth it

POSTED: November 15, 2012 1:00 a.m.

Nov. 6 has come and gone, and President Barack Obama has been re-elected for the next four years. And yet I see no singing or dancing in the streets. For the most part, it appears that the anticipated joy and happiness that was suppose to result in his re-election has been replaced by grievous disappointment and gloom and doom rhetoric.

I can understand, to some degree, why secular folks are upset. However, there is no excuse for any saint in Christ Jesus to be disappointed or surprised with election results. We saints are specifically informed in Romans 13:1-7 that the governing powers that be are ordained of God. So if any of your professing Christians have a gripe about President Obama, don’t bother me with your crybaby mentality.

I suggest you make a trip to the legendary Goat Rock located off Hog Mountain Road near Flowery Branch, and while you are there, get on your knees before God and vent your political frustrations to Him. I don’t want to hear them!

There is a possibility that before the next presidential election most if not all of the nation will be in a kneeling position praying, “God deliver us from this evil.” In my opinion, this act of national repentance and unity will prove Obama to be the best president the U.S. has ever had.
