Jefferson tuned up for next week's state playoffs with a 42-7 win over Union County on Friday In Jefferson.

Tristen Jackson led the Dragons (9-1, 8-0 Region 8-AA) with three touchdowns.

The Dragons led 27-0 at halftime, and quarterback Bryant Shirreffs “played a great game on offense,” according to  coach T McFerrin.

Jefferson will open the state playoffs next week at home.
