James and Cheryl Robinson of Dawsonville announce the engagement of their daughter Maggie Drew Robinson to Shawn Richard Burton, son of Richard and Cheryl Burton of Mount Airy.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bobby and Dixie McMahan of Gainesville, and L.B. and Grace Robinson of Gainesville.

She is a 2008 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. She is graduating in 2012 from North Georgia College & State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Oralee and Castalow Burton of Mount Airy.

He is a 2005 graduate of Habersham Central High School in Mount Airy. He is graduating in 2012 from North Georgia College & State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is employed as a help desk specialist by Community Bank and Trust in Cornelia.

The couple plan to wed Dec. 29, 2012, at Cornelia Community House in Cornelia.
