Daniel sparks Jackson County past Oconee, 48-35

Kyle Daniel led the Jackson County offense in a 48-35 win on Friday night in Watkinsville, going 23-of-36 for 312 yards and four touchdowns passing with two interceptions and had 45 rushing yards.

Dustin Scott led the Panthers (5-3, 3-2 Region 8-AAA) in the running game with 24 carries for 317 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Xavier Harper and Ben Brissey led the receiving corps throughout the night. Harper recorded 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 10 receptions, and Brissey caught the ball six times for 84 yards and two scores.

Keyshaun Curry helped the team stop Oconee County with 10 tackles, an interception, and a kickoff return for a touchdown. Evan Breakspear recorded four tackles and a fumble recovery for Jackson County.

The Panthers return to action against Elbert County on Friday in Jefferson.
