Miss Katherine Gray Williams and 1st Lt. Paul Asa Herdener USMC were united in marriage at 1 p.m. Sept. 1, 2012, at The United States Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, Md. The bride is the daughter of Ms. Nan Hiltabidle of Annapolis, Md., and Mr. Randy Williams of Edgewater, Md. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Herdener of Gainesville.

Father Mike Parisi performed the ceremony. Soloist Ms. Rosemarie Schwer and harpist Ms. Anastasia Pike presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Miss Lauren Williams of Annapolis, Md., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom’s sister Ms. Carrie Herdener of Gainesville, bride’s friends Ms. Kelly Cline of Annapolis, Md., Ms. Christina Pappafotis of Annapolis, Md., Ms. Cara Piper of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Ms. Karla Misjan of Cary, N.C.

The groom’s friend 1st Lt. Anthony Arguelles USMC of Clearwater, Fla., was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Capt. Hunter Armour USMC of Malibu, Calif., Capt. Chris Conanan USMC of Fredericksburg, Va., 1st Lt. Patrick Healy USMC of Fairfax, Va., Mr. Zack Mellette of Gainesville, and Mr. Campbell Oates of Gainesville.

Masters Tyler and Joseph Stanley of Camas, Wash., were the ring bearers.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The Annapolis Yacht Club in Annapolis, Md., on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at The Severn Inn in Annapolis, Md., following the ceremony.

The couple reside in Carlsbad, Calif.
