2 men charged in Tuesday's Dollar General robbery

Gainesville police have arrested two men who face charges in connection with Tuesday's armed robbery at a Dollar General store.

Troy Jerard Russell, 28, and George William Bradley II, 20, both of Gainesville, each were charged with armed robbery, theft by taking and aggravated assault, Gainesville Police Department Cpl. Kevin Holbrook said in a news release. 

Police responded to the call around 11 a.m. Tuesday at the store, 1210 Thompson Bridge Road. Witnesses said a black male entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

K-9 officers and investigators were able to develop several leads that led to obtaining a search warrant and recovering of evidence tied to the robbery.

The two men are being held in the Hall County Jail.
