Lanes will be closed today along Browns Bridge Road at Cresswind subdivision as police continue investigating an Oct. 9 fatal wreck.
Investigators and reconstructionists with the Gainesville Police Department’s Traffic Unit will be mapping the area beginning around noon and concluding in the early evening. Both lanes will be affected.
The wreck killed motorcycle driver David Thomas Freeman Jr. He was heading west on Browns Bridge when he struck a Toyota Camry driven by Halina Wheeler, 64, of Gainesville. Wheeler, who had been driving east on Browns Bridge Road, was turning left into Cresswind subdivision, police spokesman Cpl. Kevin Holbrook said.
