Dustin Snyder led the Lakeview Academy boys cross country team to a second place finish with a personal-best time of 16 minutes, 28 seconds at the Bob Roller Invitational on Thursday at East Jackson High in Commerce. Lewis Brooks finished in ninth place with a time of 16:46, and Dalton Snyder was 12th at 16:55.

In the girls race, Chestatee took first place overall. Sarah Beth English led Chestatee with a third place finish. Tori Mullinax placed sixth, and Maggee Wilson was 11th.

Gainesville’s boys team took third place, and the girls team came in ninth. Breanna Fair and Sara Hayes both broke Gainesville school records in the event, with Fair finishing in fourth place with a time of 19:26 and Hayes coming in ninth at 20:10.

Volleyball

North Georgia Christian defeated Heritage Academy in four sets 25-18, 24-26, 25-13, 25-20 on Thursday.
