T Bentley was 11 for 15 for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns through the air and recorded 50 yards rushing and two scores on 12 carries for the Panthers in a 41-13 win over Riverside Military Academy on Friday in Blairsville.

Bentley and Johnathan Hughes combined for five of the Panthers’ six touchdowns in the game. Bentley scored first on a 4-yard run before connecting with Hughes on a 49-yard touchdown pass. Hughes scored again on a 1-yard run, and Lalo Rivera caught a 50-yard pass from Bentley for a touchdown. Nick Whittle finished out the scoring with a 52-yard rushing touchdown.

Hughes finished the game with 55 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries and 49 yards on one reception with a touchdown. Rivera tallied 100 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions, and Whittle had three carries for 52 yards and a score.

The Union County defense shut out Riverside until the fourth quarter. Brett Dietz finished the game with 10 total tackles, two sacks and three tackles for loss. Luther Jones had nine tackles, a sack and three tackles for loss, and Chase Barnett added 12 tackles. Jonah Whitmer had eight tackles and an interception.

The Panthers (5-1, 2-1 Region 8-AA) travel to Greene County next Friday in Greensboro.
