Jackson County edges Franklin, 32-29

Kyle Daniel passed for a career-high 443 yards to lead Jackson County to a 32-29 victory Friday in Carnesville.

Daniel completed 24 of 43 attempts with four touchdowns and one interceptions. Xavier Harper was his leading receiver with seven grabs for 201 yards, while Ben Brissey had five catches for 110.

Dustin Scott had 18 carries for 136 yards, including a 6-yard touchdown, and two receptions for 15 yards with an 8-yard touchdown reception.

Harper opened scoring for the Panthers on a 45-yard touchdown catch from Daniel. Daniel also connected with Layson Giles in the third quarter for a 60-yard touchdown pass and again with Brissey to close the scoring for Jackson County .

Evan Breakspear led the defense with 12 tackles and a fumble recovery, Daivon Ledford recorded eight tackles, Keyshaun Curry had seven tackles, and Garrett Holt had five tackles and an interception.

Jackson County (4-2, 2-1 Region 8-AAA) travels to Hart County on Oct. 19 in Hartwell.
