Wednesday morning, an estimated 1,000 students in Hall County spent a few minutes before school in prayer.

Every year, thousands of students across the nation participate in the See You at the Pole movement in which students meet at their school’s flagpole to pray. The event is student-led.

“It is a good time to gather and pray for our country,” said North Georgia Christian School senior Sam Love of Hoschton. “God knows what’s best for us, and he will provide.”

Jason Lester, director of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for Northeast Georgia, said 19 schools in Hall County participated.

“It’s been a great event,” he said. “Our area has really supported it.”
