The North Georgia College & State University men’s soccer team recorded their second consecutive victory Wednesday evening, edging Anderson University 2-1 n Southeast Region play Wednesday in Anderson
Gustavo Cunha recorded his second goal of the season to knot the score at one-all for the Saints (4-3), and North Georgia’s Chris Bishop scored the eventual game-winner off a corner kick by Amin El-Shami that just passed by the Anderson keeper’s hands.

The Saints will next return home for a pair of Peach Belt Conference matches to close the month of September and open October. North Georgia will welcome Francis Marion University at 2 p.m. Saturday in Dahlonega.

NORTH GEORGIA WOMEN 7, PFEIFFER 1: Six different players scored for the North Georgia College & State University women’s soccer team as the Saints bounced back from their first loss of the season. Whitley Dover led all scorers with two goals and an assist as the Saints defeated Pfeiffer University 7-1 Wednesday at the North Georgia Soccer Field.

North Georgia (8-1) will jump back into their Peach Belt Conference schedule this weekend as they travel to Savannah to take on the ninth-ranked Pirates of Armstrong Atlantic State University at 1 p.m. Saturday.
