Gurley named SEC Freshman of the Week

University of Georgia true freshman tailback Todd Gurley has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week following his performance in Georgia’s 48-3 win over Vanderbilt.

Gurley registered his third 100-yard game in four contests after rushing for a career-high 130 yards.

He has also been named the 247Sports National True Freshman of the Week and leads the SEC in rushing, scoring and all-purpose yardage.

The Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0) host Tennessee (3-1, 0-1) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in Athens.
