Safe Kids Gainesville-Hall County will host Boost & Buckle the Ones You Love 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the Target at 514 Shallowford Road in Gainesville.
The car seat check will involve certified child passenger safety specialists checking seats to be sure that they are installed correctly.
Georgia law states that children must be properly restrained in the backseat in a child car seat or booster seat appropriate for their height and weight until they are 8 years old. Children at least 4 feet, 9 inches tall are exempt from this law.
