U.S. 129 wreck injures 9

POSTED: September 15, 2012 4:25 p.m.

Nine people were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center after a three-vehicle head-on collision Saturday afternoon on U.S. 129 North at Oxford Road in Hall County.

One of the three vehicles rolled over, according to Beverley Walker of Hall County Fire Services.

Six adults and three children, with mild to moderate injuries, none serious or life-threatening, were transported by Hall County Fire Services units.

The road was closed for a short while and traffic was diverted down Oxford Road.  The crash is being investigated by Georgia State Patrol.  Fire and EMS units that responded to the accident at about 2:34 p.m. said it appeared everyone in the vehicles involved was wearing a seat belt, which most likely contributed to the lack of serious injury.
