The Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center will hold its third annual Honeybee Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15.
The event will feature family activities including bee games, crafts, honey samples, cooking demonstrations with honey and story time.
Beekeepers will be on hand to discuss their craft and also to sell their local honey and beeswax products. Visitors can purchase local honey directly from the GEHC hives.
The festival also will include a children’s honeybee costume contest and parade at 2 p.m. For costume rules and details, visit www.gwinnettEHC.org.
Admission is included in the GEHC ticket price. Members are free.
