Your Views: Nation’s leadership has turned too far away from our creator

POSTED: September 8, 2012 12:35 a.m.

I’ve heard it said that the two things you don’t discuss are religion and politics. However, ironically theses seem to be at the root of most of the woes we face as a nation.

In this year of campaigning, much has been said about “racial prejudice” on the part of conservatives and Christians by Barack Obama and his hooligans. Let me state this clearly: As a Christian, God created us all. It’s not the color of your skin that matters; it’s what’s in you heart that really counts. This prejudice of race is a lie from a president that will do anything just be re-elected.

What became of the America we once knew, when we had pride in our nation, our flag, our faith in an almighty creator, God, who oversees the affairs of mankind? All around me, I see a nation that is self destructing before our very eyes.

We have banned the Bible and Christian teachings from our schools and public institutions. Our children are being “brainwashed” with all the filthy, poisonous garbage being force-fed their young minds by a secular president and Congress and the most corrupt administration ever to inhabit our nation’s capital.

When we as a nation become so arrogant as to challenge God, we are, I fear, beyond hope. It’s like a bad dream and I pray for us all that we’ll turn back before it truly is too late.
