Georgia's Gurley named SEC Co-Freshman Player of the Week

University of Georgia freshman running back Todd Gurley was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Freshman Player of the Week by the league following his performance versus Buffalo.

Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon split the honor with Gurley. Gurley is the first Bulldog to earn the honor in his first collegiate game.

Gurley, a 6-foot-1, 218-pound native of Tarboro, N.C., rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries and returned a kickoff for a touchdown against the Bulls.
