No. 2 Buford defeated No. 4 Elbert County once again after a meeting in the state playoffs last season, the Wolves winning 14-3 on Friday night at the Granite Bowl in Elberton.
Dontravious Wilson scored the first touchdown for the Wolves, and the second score came on a pass from quarterback Montgomery VanGorder to Thomas Wilson.
Grant Hall had a fumble recovery for Buford, and Thomas Wilson had an interception following a Buford fumble in the third quarter.
Buford hosts Gainesville next Friday in Buford.
