Commerce defeated Jefferson for the first time in five meetings on Friday in Commerce, winning 22-7.

Jamal Browner had 20 carries for 160 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers.

Commerce took the lead in the first on a 12-yard run by Browner, but Jefferson was able to tie the game in the second quarter with a 10-yard rushing touchdown from quarterback Bryant Shirreffs. The teams went into halftime tied, but Terrick Ramsey put the Tigers back on top with an 81-yard carry for the score. Browner went on to score again in the fourth on an 8-yard run, and the two-point conversion by quarterback Drew Whitfield put away the victory.
