Bill and Sheila Edge of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Megan Edge to Matt Vorees, son of George and Pat Vorees of Buford.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Ed and Emma Henson, and the late Hubert and Stella Edge.

She is a 1999 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2005 from Savannah College of Art and Design with a bachelor’s degree in fine art. She received a master’s degree at North Georgia College & State University in clinical mental health counseling. She is employed as a therapist at Turning Points Counseling in Toccoa.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Audrey Gallagher of Fort Pierce, Fla., and the late Ed Gallagher, and the late John and Mary Vorees.

He is a 2000 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He will graduate from Gwinnett Technical College in 2012 with a degree in automotive technology.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 15, 2012, at Neverland Farms in Cleveland.
