Jackson County softball pitcher Peyton Sorrells threw an 8-0 shutout against Cherokee High Friday for the Lady Panthers’ lone win in the Buccaneer Bash tournament at Allatoona High. Jackson County went 1-4 in the two-day tournament that concluded on Saturday.

Offensive leaders in the tournament for the Lady Panthers were Jessica Baker (4 for 8), Victoria Fontana (7 for 16), Alyssa Dasher (6 for 14) and Madi Pecht (5 for 12). Andrea Ledford added three RBIs for Jackson County over the weekend.
