Defending champion Derek Watson held off a strong field to capture his second Chicopee Woods Championship on Sunday at Chicopee Woods.
Watson had a two-day total of 4-under, 140 to win by three strokes. With his victory, Watson joins only four others who have won two titles at the South Hall course.
Finishing tied for second at 1-under 143 were Greg Edwards and John Parks. Luke James came in fourth place with a 1-over 145.
Keith Morris edged Scott Holcomb by one shot with a net score of 143 to win the Blue Tee Flight.
White Tee Flight 1 was won by current Super Senior Champion Roger Stapp with a net 141. Finishing second was Tom Bolton at net 143.
Geoff Archibald claimed honors in White Tee Flight 2 with net 150. Denver Taylor made a strong comeback to take second place with net 151.
The next individual championship competition at Chicopee Woods is the Senior Championship. Golfers age 50-and-over can compete for the title on Oct. 6-7. Entry forms are available in the Chicopee Woods Pro Shop.
