Georgia senior cornerback Branden Smith is one of 49 players who have been named to the Paul Hornung Award Watch List for the nation’s most versatile player.
Smith started seven of 14 games in 2011 and finished with 24 tackles and two interceptions. He also rushed 13 times for 100 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown, and had three catches for 39 yards on offense. On special teams, Smith returned nine punts for 70 yards last season while taking seven kickoffs back for 131 yards.
Brandon Boykin, who played cornerback, kickoff/punt returner and various roles on offense for Georgia, won the award last season.
