One person died in a head-on collision between a passenger car and an SUV on White Sulphur Road in Gainesville on Tuesday.
Cpl. Kevin Holbrook of the Gainesville Police Department said the crash occurred on White Sulphur between Navajo Circle and Howard Road.
One driver was dead at the scene, Holbrook said, and the other driver was transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
The accident remains under investigation by a traffic investigator, Holbrook said. Identities of the drivers involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, he said.
