With a second-place finish Saturday, Gainesville High golfer Spencer Ralston qualified for the U.S. team in Sunday’s U.S. Kids Teen World Cup Match Play Championship in Pinehurst, N.C.

Ralston took second in the 14-and-under division of U.S. Kids Golf Teen World Championship in a sudden death playoff. He advanced by firing a 6-under par 66 on Saturday to finish with a three-day total of 2-under par 214 on the Pinehurst No. 8 course.
