Lightning fires cause minimal damage in Hall County

Fires caused by a storm that moved through the Gainesville area kept firefighters busy Tuesday afternoon but did very little damage.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said there was “very minimal damage” from two fires caused by lightning strikes.

Kimbrell also reported some trees were down after the storm, with some large limbs down on the roads, but said these also caused no significant damage.
