Georgia junior outside linebacker Jarvis Jones has been named as one of eight SEC players on the Blue Ribbon Yearbook’s 26-man preseason All-America team.
Jones was a unanimous First Team All-American following the 2011 season after he led the SEC in both sacks (13.5) and tackles for loss (19.5).
The Blue Ribbon Yearbook has also named Jones its preseason SEC Defensive Player of the Year and picked the Bulldogs to win the SEC’s Eastern Division.
Georgia opens its season at home versus Buffalo on September 1. The Bulldogs begin their SEC slate in an away matchup with Missouri in Columbia on September 8.
