Traffic is seek backed up over the Dawsonville Highway bridge after a car fire early today closed both lanes to traffic.

The bridge over Lake Lanier on Dawsonville Highway/Ga. 53 has been reopened after an early morning car fire caused all lanes to close at the Hall-Forsyth county line.

The Georgia Department of Transportation website stated the incident involved one car. Media reports indicated the bridge was blocked for most of the morning for inspectors to check any damage to the structure.
