The Gainesville American 10-11 Little League All-Star team remained in the winner’s bracket with an 18-8 win over Gainesville National in the District 10 state tournament on Tuesday at Lanier Point in Gainesville.
With the win, Gainesville American advances in the winner’s bracket, needing only one more win to make the state tournament in Savannah. Meanwhile, Gainesville National faces Athens at 6 tonight. The winner advances to play Gainesville American in the finals at 6 p.m. on Thursday in Gainesville.
In the 11-12 year old division, Gainesville American topped Oconee County 14-7 on Tuesday. With the win, Gainesville American moves on to face Walton American at 7 tonight.
