Gillsville man dies in one-car wreck

A Gillsville man died in a one-car wreck Saturday night on Ga. 323/Gillsville Highway in East Hall.

Jonathan Brian Seabolt was driving west on Gillsville Highway in a 1991 Toyota Tercel when the vehicle ran off the road onto the shoulder, said Gordy Wright, spokesman for the Georgia State Patrol, which worked the accident.

"Seabolt overcorrected, crossed back over the lanes of travel, left the road on the opposite shoulder and hit a tree with the right side of the vehicle," Wright said.

The wreck happenend about 7:40 p.m. nearly a half-mile east of Lebanon Church Road, which is northeast of Ga. 82/Holly Springs Road.

Blood was drawn to determine if Seabolt was under the influence of alcohol, Wright said.
