Jerry Barrett of Winder announces the engagement of his daughter Jamie Ashlee Barrett to Dustin William Benefield, son of Scott and Deneen Benefield of Flowery Branch.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Deborah Ann Barrett, granddaughter of Connie Barrett of Gainesville, and Robert and Dottie Geldean of Blairsville.

She is a 2006 graduate of Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch. She graduated in 2010 from Lanier Technical College with a diploma as a certified medical office assistant. She is employed as a certified medical office assistant at Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Garlon and the late Peggy Hosch of Gainesville, and Edgar and Virginia Benefield of Oakwood.

He is a 2006 graduate of Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch. He graduated in 2008 from Lanier Technical College with a certificate in pharmacy technology. He is employed as a certified pharmacy technician by Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 6, 2012, at Alpine Wedding Chapel in Helen.
