G-Braves lose 4th straight despite Medlen's solid start

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs came back from a 2-0 deficit with five runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat the Gwinnett Braves 5-2 in Game 3 of the four-game series. The G-Braves are now 2 1/2 games behind Charlotte in the International League South, as Charlotte won its fourth straight game Thursday night.

G-Braves starter Kris Medlen worked five scoreless frames and allowed four hits, no walks and struck out four.

The G-Braves (33-28) continue their road trip at 7:05 tonight in Allentown against Lehigh Valley (37-26). Right-hander Jair Jurrjens (3-3, 5.56) is scheduled to start for the G-Braves against the IronPigs left-hander Pat Misch (3-8, 5.01).
