Ryan Cravero, a sophomore at Johnson High School, entered his 1967 Ford Fairlane in the recent “Cruise In For A Cure” Car Show at Chestatee High School.

A fundraiser for Relay For Life, Ryan won in two categories at the show: “Survivor’s Choice” and second place for “People’s Choice Top Ten.”

The win was bittersweet for Ryan. His grandfather, Clayton Hunnings, and his uncle, David Hunnings, died from pancreatic cancer and kidney cancer, respectively, in recent years.

Both of Ryan’s grandmothers are current survivors of cancer.

Ryan shared his love of cars with his “Papa Clayton,” who gifted the Fairlane to Ryan via his mother, Pamela Cravero.
